Tenofovir Disproxil Fumarate Emtricitabine and Efavirenz are medications used for the treatment of HIV, which basically are antiretroviral drugs. It can be combined in one pill and taken once a day. The medication or the pill is the combination of 600mg efavirenz, 200mg emtricitabine, and 245mg tenofovir disproxil. Marketed under a different name as Atripla, and are also available under generic versions.

Two of the medications are Emtricitabine and Tenofovir Disproxil are from a class of drugs known as NRTIs, and the third drug, Efavirenz is NNRTI. The aim of the drug is to treat HIV and to reduce the level of HIV in your body until it is detectable. The medication is advised to be taken once a day, to be swallowed whole. It is not advised to chew, crush, or split the medication. It is advised to take medication on an empty stomach.
